Bawburgh lakes - Chris BOTLN lakes, Bawburgh,
Bawburgh Lake was the first lake to be opened to the public to fish in 1988 as part of the then Bawburgh Lakes Association (BLA), some of the original members still refer to the lake as BLA, and it is still the most loved lake on the fishery by many.

The Lake at this time became an excellent water for pike with many doubles being caught in a day, however as with many prolific pike fishery's the interest in the water slowly dwindled as the catches became fewer and finely closed around 1995.

When NACA began to manage the water some two years later the lake was to take some of our first stock fish, some double figure carp from a local water to help get the fishery running, then with an introduction of a shoal of 75 Bream.
