After lots of thought and hard work this winter (2009) North Lake is now a five acre specimen carp lake stocked with around 150 carp up to 50lb+. The majority of these fish are upper 30’s and 40’s with six known fish in the 50lb bracket one or two of which are approaching that magical 60lb mark. This lake is stocked as a specimen lake and catch reports will reflect in this, we class this as our harder water as the fish are a lot bigger therefore usually more difficult to catch. The great thing about this lake is that at 5 acres you’re never to far away from a 50lber and when the alarm does go you know its nothing smaller than a 30.We also expect at least a couple of the high 50s to push 60lb in the 2010 season which will put Eden’s Lakes in a different league altogether.

All three lakes have undergone extensive work over the winter they have all been drained and all small fish removed they now have level gravel pegs and all have had some lilies and rushes planted to create features and a safe haven for the fish to hide in.
