Well guys,

As most of you know by now - me and Chris are going to be Batman and Robbin (hence we are both on diets -the skin tight lycra would not be easy on the eye otherwise!).

The last pair of BOTLN Match tickets for Little Hayes are now sold. There is just one pair left, with will be drawn out of a hat from all of the donations on the just giving page and just giving text donations. Please remember to put your name on the just giving donation. If donating by text, you need to reply to the text sent back to you with your details. Any donations made with Anonymous with the name, can not be excepted for the draw. The Donations wil work like this;

£1 = 1 TIcket
£2-£5 = 2 Tickets
£6-£10 = 4 Tickets

Each £5 past this point will be another 3 tickets in the draw.

All of the tickets will be named and put into a hat and the draw will be made at Todber Manor Fisheries on the 20th August 2010.

Well it was a great day the weather held out until the presentation. Some caught more than others but I think everyone will agree it was fun!!! Thanks to Chris and Jay for organising the match and well done to everyone who took part. Thanks to Margot for the lunchtime burgers and the excellent cakes. :)

Hi guys,

The draw for the match will be at 9am, in the tackle shop car park, please be there for 8.50am and sign in on arrival. The huge Todber Manor superstore opens at 8.00am, so loads of time to grab any bait and tackle you need for the match.
We’ll make our way down to the lake after the draw, and the start signal will sound at 10am sharp. You will each be provided with a keep net, and this will be weighed every few hours by Matt Candy, as the carp will be larger than normal ‘match carp‘, spending eight hours in a keep net is not good for them, and I‘m sure you, like us, want the carp to remain healthy and stress free.
All carp that looks like it’s over 10lb must not be put into the keepnet, Chris, Jay or Matt will be on hand to weigh these just after they’ve been caught, and the weight will added onto your net weights during the weigh in.
The match will finish at 5.45pm, and the presentations will take place after the final weigh in has taken place.

The match details have been sorted out, and will take place on Wadmill lake, Todber Manor on Sunday 8th May (the weekend after the bank holiday.)

The match will run from 10am until 6pm (TBC) with the draw taking place at 9am in the tackle shop car park.
The cost is £22.50, and includes lunch (hot burger, chocolate bar, and a drink). The cost is payable by an ebay listing (link at bottom of page) and will be advertised on the short vid uploaded tomorrow (Monday) We hope to sell out very quickly, so if you're reading this before Monday, and you want to be in it, buy soon to be sure of a place (please pay within 7 days after 'buying' on ebay)

They'll be trophies and prizes from 1st to 5th, biggest fish, and additional goodies throughout the day!
The first place trophy is being made by internationally renowned wood carver Steve Barrett, who is designing a one off trophy, with a carp design, and although even we don't know exactly what it will...

We are very close to confirming all of the details of the latest match. Can anyone who wants further details or is keen to tak part please reply to this message as soon as possible. We are keen to get forum members involved.

Also, anyone who took part in the previous match, the DVDs are now available, so please send me a message with your address again. I lost the file previously and had to rededit the video (long job!). But all's done and ready to go (sorry for the delay).

Thought it'd be really nice to see the different stages of the trophy being made. This is stage one, basically the wood has been chosen.
It's a walnut background, with the carp being carved from a lighter coloured wood, sycamore, sitting on an ash base. Cant wait to see it once the carving has started!

Due to demand..... We have decided to add an additional Spring Match date at Wadmill Lake Todber Mannor, so there will be another 30 spaces up for grabs. This will be on Saturday 21st April 2012. Stay tuned for more details and short video with info on the Xtra Channel later tonight/ tomorrow.
