Chris and I obviously struggled this weekend fishing on the bottom on a specimen lake, but managed to get some off the top, so it went okay in the end.

But I have been looking at venues over the past few days for Episodes 37 and 38 and it seems all the carp there were interested in was sunbathing, motionless. They are not lakes where you are likely to catch off the top. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on how to tempt them. Or is it just dam difficult if it's scorthing hot and we need to start preying for rain!!
