So then, the moon.
I've been flicking through some of my older carp magazines recently, some from before I started
fishing that I was lucky enough to be given by another angler a year or so ago (a top bloke who
taught me more in a few days of chance encounters with him than I learnt from months and months of
fishing.) In a 2007 edition of ACF Dave Moore talks about lunar phases, and how they effect the carp
and their feeding patterns. It's something that I'd heard of before, but hadn't really put a great
deal of thought into, but now I've read the article it makes sense. The sun can have such a massive
effect on carp fishing and feeding times so really, why shouldn't the moon? Yes, the suns impact is
much more obvious with it's light and warmth, but Dave talks about the gravitational effect from the
moon on the earth.
So, I thought I'd put it on here to try and start a bit of a BOTLN chat going. Is it something we
should consider and adjust to like we would for dawn and dusk? Or is this taking it too far, does...

I just felt i had to post this, as it's been a sad year for the UK carp fishing scene. As you well
know, 4 of our most famous carp have passed away, and i noticed that there were no pics on this
site, so here they are!
