Thought I'd do a little report on my first session at Wally's lake. I started Sunday evening and
fished through to Tuesday evening.
I got down there about 17:00 to find the lake busy and all the good swims taken so settled on a swim
in the shallow water opposite the island with a maximum depth of about a foot so I thought I already
had my work cut out for me.
Had the bivvy set up and the rods in the water an hour later baited with the favourite tigernut
boilie and not a touch for 3 hours so tried a bit of corn on one rod and 20 mins later had a nice
9lb common in the net, not huge but saved me from a blank on a new water :)
A hour later I hooked into my second fish that came in at 17.2lb which turned out to be the biggest
of the session and a new pb, happy days.
The rest of the session turned out to be very slow with nothing coming out during the day due to the
hot sunny weather and the night time being quite hectic, landing almost a fish an hour weighing
between 8-12lb and even struggling with one on each rod at one point lol.

It's been a long time coming but I'm back on Woodland lake at Coking Farm. Not the best of pegs I'm
on 6 but I've got two rods out for carp and a big halibut pellet over a bed of pellet, hoping for a
cat. It's very windy but at least it's pushing into my corner. Fingers crossed just want one
fish!!!! Preferably a big one!!!:-)

Fished from around 3pm Sunday through till 7pm Monday Evening.
Conditions were pretty good, and I was confident of getting a few fish (On several previous sessions
on Meadow Lake I have had numerous doubles up to 19lb8oz, and have set myself the target of getting
a 20 out this season).
However 6 hours in, I was yet to have a run, when my left hand rod screamed off, and I was rewarded
with an 8lber.
At just after midnight I was woken by the sound of my alarm tearing off again, and after trying the
3 sides of the bivvy without the door, I eventually found my way out and found myself attached to
what felt like a decent fish. It was a good few minutes before the fish first hit the surface and my
initial reaction was dissapointment as it looked around a high single. However the fish just
wouldn't give up the fight and tore off on several decent dives for the weed beds before eventually
coming to the net. It was as I lifted the fish out, that I realised this was no high single. A large...

as we cannot carry on with fotln , we will post the reports.
i arrived at the lakes on friday around 5pm. tyler shortly arrived after me, we loaded up the
barrows and headed to the furthest part of the lake we could. the train bank (NACKERING). we headed
to the swim 7 scales came out the day before my freind ray had her at 37 10. we set up. and casted,
we were confident. and then our friend shaun arrived, setting up next to us. so we left the rods,
silent. we were socialising as shauns 2 friends were there also. having a smoke, drinking some
beers, .:) we were having a good time, so at about 2am we hit the sack, still SILENT! shauns friend
rob had a 4lb common around 3am. shaun then had a bream at about 3:10am and shortly after tyler had
a bream hooked but it fell off, tyler had a screamer from hisn margin, definetly a carp, a nice one.
unfortunetly, hook pulled.
so we had nothing, until 10am sat morn, shanu had a 20lb on a zig rig.
Nothing happened after that so on sunday morning wqhen most people had left, me tylerr and scott...

I arrived at the lake at 9.30am (the snooze button was hit alot!) It was already baking hot and i
could see some nice carp cruising in the upper layers just soaking up the sun.

So i decided to use a zig on one rod, and fish to a patch of lillies on the other. Within 2 minutes
of casting to the lillies i had a screamer, and 10 mins later a nice 11lb common.
Throughout the rest of my quick session i had two more fish from the lillies one 10lb, and the other
11lb.
I was a bit gutted when i had to go at 4.30pm as the fish feeding activity was definitely on the
increase, and i'm sure i'd have bagged up if given the evening.
Also i saw a huge carp leap clear of the water just as i was leaving. It must of been one of the
three resident 30lb'ers.
I'll have him next time....
My most handsome fish- 11lb leather
