Don't know if you've seen the vid, but we're doing another match, as we really enjoyed the last one.
It's a completely different format to the last one, and will probably happen on long lake, coking farm (next to Oak!)

Obviously as regular forum posters, you will have first refusal on the limited numbers. and we WONT be at all offended if you don't fancy it, it's not every carpers cup of tea. So let me know if you want a place.

ive recently bin acepted into the army and im trying to organize a 48hr match in aid of help 4 heros at todber manor in the spring sometime.im currently in talks with the charity about the best route for me to take in organizing the event. im looking for ten 2man teams at a cost of £50 per team with all proceeds going to help 4 heros and i thought were better t start than BOTLN there will be fishing related prizes for the winners and some kind of raffle.ive got some companys that say they will sponser the event but nothings for deffinate untill i no what kinda support i can get.so if anyones intrested or has any ideas or questions then feel free to let me no.lets do somthing we love for people we love.

Well I've recently found out about an angling organisation close to my home and this year when the memberships reset I'll be joining.
They have matches often on the 50 acre reservoir local to me and a few other ponds that are exclusive to members only.

There's carp in the waters they fish but when match fishing you can't souly hunt for them, you have to rake in the weight with silverfish too but how devastating is the pole for raking in the silverfish? would I be able to compete with a quiver tipped rod using either a feeder or float?

If anyone here who's given match fishing a shot could give me abit of info that would be excellent,

Top weekend, great fun with a great bunch of blokes ( and ladies ) shame about the weather and lost fish. Need another in the warm next year!!!!!
